Park the vehicle on a horizontal, level surface

 Maximum permissible height difference of surface for:
­ vehicle: 1 mm/m
­ headlamp aimer (01): 0.5 mm/m

Prepare vehicle for front fog light checking/adjustment

Before the front fog lights are checked and adjusted, all operation steps listed in the linked description must be performed carefully.
Otherwise it cannot be guaranteed that the front fog lights concerned are correctly set, which can then jeopardize the road safety of the vehicle!

Align headlamp aimer (01)



It is essential to align the headlamp aimer (01) parallel to the front of the vehicle.
The front fog light adjustment will otherwise be incorrect, which then may jeopardize the road safety of the vehicle!

 Align headlamp aimer (01) at a distance of approx. 30 cm in front of the left or right front fog light, parallel to the vehicle front end and level with the left or right front fog light.
Other country-specific regulations or specifications in the operating instructions from the headlamp aiming device manufacturer must be observed accordingly.

Set specified degree of inclination for front fog lights at headlamp aimer (01)

Switch on front fog lights at exterior lights switch

Check, adjust if necessary

Check front fog light setting, adjust if necessary

 The light-dark boundary of the light beam must be horizontal at the height of the separating line (4) in the headlamp aimer (01).

If the adjustment of the left or right front fog light is not correct:



Correct the left or right front fog light by turning the adjustment screw.

Reset switch positions and, if necessary, load condition of vehicle to initial condition
