Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Check low beam setting, adjust if necessary.

Before the low beams are checked and adjusted, all operation steps listed in the linked description must be performed carefully.
Otherwise it cannot be guaranteed that the headlamps concerned are correctly set, which can then jeopardize the road safety of the vehicle.

Switch on main beam.



For vehicles with active high beams assistant, have an assistant operate headlamp flashing.
Otherwise the check cannot be carried out correctly.

Check setting of high beam.

 The high beams are adjusted when the corresponding low beam headlamp is adjusted; the high beams cannot be adjusted separately.

If the high beam setting is not OK:



Rectify problems.

 After obtaining special order.

Reset switch positions to input condition.
