1 Use spring check weigher to pull the outer handle (6) roughly 8 cm away from the roof hatch cover.
The pulling power required may not exceed 170 N. The roof hatch cover must now be lying loosely on the surface, and the driver area display must now show SOS - roof hatch emergency released (5).

2 Remove the cover from the contact surface.
3 Check the check strap on the roof hatch cover for signs of damage, and replace if necessary.
