1 | Operate parking brake | ||
2 | Turn steering lock to driving position and switch on ignition | Engage battery disconnect switch (if present). | |

3 | Switch on and off all lights, devices and equipment whose function is indicated by an indicator lamp in the dashboard. | Some checks are carried out with the engine running (such as charge indicator lamp, oil pressure indicator). | |
4 | Check that indicator lamps function correctly. | If the indicator lamps malfunction: Ascertain the cause and rectify the faults, as a separate repair order. | |
5 | Press the button (1) on the combination switch to check operation of the horn. | ||
6 | Check function of instrument illumination and dimmer | ||
7 | Check operation of the interior lamps by switching them on and off. |
