Check indicator lamps

Engage parking brake and switch on ignition.

 The vehicle doors must be closed.

 The following indicator lamps go out after a few seconds:
Bulb failure indicator light (1), door indicator (2), high beams (3), seat belts indicator (6), brake lining wear indicator (8), LIM (9), ASR (11), ASR/EPS active (12), ABS (13), engine diagnosis (14), engine oil level indicator (15), SRS (16), coolant temperature indicator (17), coolant indicator (18), fuel filter soiled (19), water in fuel filter (20), washer fluid level indicator (22), brake fluid indicator (23), and fuel reserve (25).

Start engine.

 The battery charge indicator lamp (7) and all indicator lamps which have not yet gone out, except the parking brake indicator lamp (24), must go out.
If the oil level in the engine is too low or the fluid level in the brake system, cooling system and windshield washer reservoir is too low or in case of system fault, the relevant indicator lamp is permanently on. The indicator lamp for parking brake (24) lights up permanently if the parking brake is engaged.

Check the indicator lamps for left and right turn signal lights (26) by switching the flashers on the combination switch on and off.
