Danger! | Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel. | Fire, sparks, open flames or smoking forbidden. Wear protective clothing when handling fuel. | |
1 | Switch off ignition | Secure engine to prevent it from being started unintentionally. | |
2 | Close fuel shutoff cock (1) | ||
3 | Drain fuel prefilter (2) | Open bleed screw (3) and drain plug (arrow). Collect escaping fuel. | |
4 | Separate electrical connector at floor of water separator (4) | ||
5 | Unbolt water separator (4) from fuel prefilter (2) and clean | ||
6 | Unbolt fuel prefilter (2) | Dispose off the filter element in an environmentally acceptable manner. | |
| Install | ||
7 | Bolt on new fuel prefilter (2) | Install new sealing ring and rub in with clean fuel. | |
8 | Bolt on water separator (4) | Do not use a tool because of the risk of damage. Install new sealing ring and rub in with clean fuel. | |
9 | Fit together electrical connector at floor of water separator (4) and close drain plug (ararow) | ||
10 | Bleed fuel system | ||
11 | Close bleeder screw (3) | ||
12 | Start engine and inspect fuel system for leaks |
