Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle using the vehicle lift and remove underfloor paneling



Check

Stretch boot (1) by turning the steering onto left and right lock while checking for damage



Remove/install bellows

Never check the boots (1) by pressing in or around the ribs.
This can cause damage to the plastic and, in the long term, can lead to leakage.

If necessary:



Install a new boot (1), subject to separate repair order.

Check ball joint of the left and right tie rod end (3) for play by firmly pulling and pushing



Remove/install tie rod ball joint

If necessary:



Install a new tie rod end (3), subject to separate repair order.

Check left and right rubber boot (2) on tie rod end (3) for leaks and condition



Remove/install tie rod ball joint

If necessary:



Install a new tie rod end (3), subject to separate repair order.

Install

Install underfloor panelings and lower the vehicle with the vehicle lift
