Check

Assess brakepad thickness (1) of brakepads on front axle.

 If necessary, use a flashlight (2) or a mirror (3). The thickness of the pad backing plate can be used as a reference when assessing the brake lining thickness (1).

If, in exceptional cases, assessment through a visual inspection is not possible.



Remove front wheels and assess them.

 After obtaining special order.

Determine expected remaining distance of brakepads.

 To determine the prospective remaining distance for each axle, refer to the brakepad with the least brakepad thickness (1).
In order to avoid an unscheduled workshop visit between services, determine the remaining distance of the present brakepads.
If the remaining distance determined is less than the next service interval, advise the customer to replaced the brakepads before the due service date.

If the wear limit for the brakepads is reached,



Replace brake linings.

 After obtaining special order.
