 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Secure vehicle against rolling

 The vehicle should be parked on a level, horizontal surface.

Clean area around filling screws (1, 3)

Unscrew filling screw (3) from differential and check oil level

 The oil level is correct when the oil is at the bottom edge of the filler opening.

If the oil level is incorrect.

Correct oil level.

Check the outside and inside of the wheel hubs for leaks

 Small areas displaying a limited amount of seepage are not a cause for concern.

If leaks are severe with constant oil loss



Eliminate the oil loss immediately, subject to separate repair order.

Unscrew filling screw at displacement transmission

Check oil level in displacement transmission

 The oil level is correct when the oil is at the bottom edge of the filler opening. Correct the oil level as indicated.

Remove filling screw (1) from hub reduction gear housing and check oil level

 The oil level is correct if the oil is max. 10 mm below the filler opening.
