Automatic transmission - oil and filter change

Only change the oil when the transmission is at operating temperature.
The vehicle must be horizontal for the oil change .

During all work on the AT pay attention to the utmost cleanliness

Place selector lever in position "P" and operate parking brake

Unscrew stop plug of torque converter housing (1)

Turn converter until the oil drain screw is visible in the opening of the bell housing

Clean the area around the oil drain screws of the converter and oil pan (2)

Clean area around the oil drain screw of the converter and the banjo bolt (2)

Unscrew oil drain screws and banjo bolt of the oil pan

 Drain the oil completely.

 Install new sealing rings.

Screw in oil drain screws

 Oil drain screw to torque converter.

Filter change

Remove oil pan (3)

 Clean oil pan before installation,check seal, replace as per findings.

Remove oil filter (5)

 Replace oil filter



Fasten oil filler pipe to oil pan with banjo bolt

 Replace sealing rings for banjo bolt.

Pour in oil

Insert funnel (050) in the opening for the oil dipstick



Pour in approx. 4 liters of oil

 Danger!

Risk of accident caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Start the engine, allow the engine to idle in selector lever position "P"

 Top up with the rest of the specified quantity of oil

Selector lever in position R-N-D-N-R, leave in each position for a few seconds and move into position "P"

 In addition operate the service brake when shifting through the gears of the gear ranges

Check and correct oil level
