Unscrew threaded cap (1).

 Allow engine oil to drain from filter housing.

Remove threaded cap (1) with oil filter element (2) and unclip oil filter element (2) by pressing at side.

 Ensure that no foreign bodies get into the filter housing. Never wipe out the filter housing.
Damage may occur otherwise.

Check old oil filter element (2) for completeness (picture A).

If the old oil filter element (2) and its synchronizer retainer plate (4) (picture B) are separated:



Remove synchronizer retainer plate (4) from filter housing.

Replace sealing rings (3).

Clip new oil filter element (2) into the threaded cap (1).

Screw on threaded cap (1) with oil filter element (2) and tighten   .
