4	Remove bottom section of soundproofing	When draining the engine oil at the oil drain screw (5).
5	Detach end cover (1)
6.1	Pull oil dipstick (7) or stop plug (8) out of the oil dipstick guide tube (6) and extract engine oil through the oil dipstick guide tube (6)	 Extract engine oil only when the engine is at normal operating temperature. Observe operating instructions for engine oil suction off unit.

6.2	Remove oil drain screw (5), drain engine oil and tighten the oil drain screw (5)	 Only drain engine oil when engine is at normal operating temperature.
		 Install new seal for oil drain screw (5).

7	Push oil dipstick (7) or stop plug (8) into the oil dipstick guide tube (6)	Only if engine oil has been extracted through the oil dipstick guide tube (6).
	Filling
8	Check the engine oil quality set in the Telligent® maintenance system and set the engine oil quality for the oil to be used where required	Only on vehicles with the code (JW5) Telligent maintenance system
9	Pour in the specified filling capacity of engine oil at the oil filler opening	 On engine 902.9, 906.9 in model 957.5/6 with code (MS8) Natural gas engine, pay particular attention to engine oil quality.

	Checking

Risk of injury caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running	Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself. 11	Start the engine, allow to idle for 1 to 2 minutes at idle speed and then switch off the engine	 Observe oil pressure gauge. It must indicated oil pressure after a few seconds. Do not rev up engine as long as no oil pressure is indicated.
12	Check oil level after a waiting time of approx. 5 min., correct oil level if necessary	 The waiting time of 5 min. must be maintained.
