| Connect test instruments

| Pull off vacuum hose (2)

| Loosen clamping screw (1) slightly
|
|
|

| Measure ignition timing at specified rpm with stroboscope and adjust by turning distributor.
|
Turn clockwise to retard
Turn counterclockwise to advance

| Tighten clamping screw and check ignition timing again, readjust, if necessary
|

| Reattach vacuum hose and disconnect test instruments
