1 | Remove maintenance flap above engine in interior | ||
2 | Inspect engine brake cylinder, transmission parts and throttle valve shafts for wear | Replace any parts which are not in proper condition subject to separate repair order. | |
3 | Inspect tight installation of throttle valve levers (10) on throttle valve shafts | ||
Setting | |||
4 | Inspect position of throttle valve shaft in off position | When engine brake is in off position, the notch (11) must be positioned parallel to the flow direction of the exhaust gases. | |
5 | Start engine and operate engine brake at operating lever in stage 1 (1) and stage 2 (2) with accelerator pedal in full throttle position | Run engine up to maximum revs only when warm. | |
6 | Install maintenance flap above engine in interior |
