1 Inspect valve clearance (arrows) with feeler gage between rocker arm and valve bridge.
Only maintenance: The valve clearance must not be adjusted, if it is within the test tolerance.
2 Adjust valve clearance (arrows).
Slacken locknut (2) and adjust valve clearance with adjusting bolt (1). Counterhold adjustment screw (1) and tighten jam nut (2) fully, .
Check valve clearance again, correct if necessary.
The valve clearance is correctly set if you can pull the feeler gage through with only slight resistance.
