The spare tire with folding tire is a space-saving alternative to the conventional spare tire. This enables the customer to reach the next Mercedes Benz Service Station if the vehicle suffers from a flat tire.
After using the spare tire, simply deflate the folding tire. The tire folds up completely and can be reused by the customer.
The maximum speed with the spare tire with folding tire installed on the vehicle is 80 km/h.
The tread depth of a new collapsible spare tire is 3 mm. The wear limit is reached at 1.6 mm.
On vehicles with 16" tires, use the wheel bolts included with the spare tire with folding tire . Store the bolts with the spare tire after use.
A defective spare tire with folding tire cannot be repaired. The spare tire with folding tire is to be disposed of in the same way as a standard light-alloy wheel or tire.
