The MSA control module requires version coding. Coding can be performed automatically or manually with the hand-held tester only.
Automatically
Before removing the MSA control module read out the code number with the HHT. After installing the new control module transfer stored code number (menu guidance in HHT).
Manually
If it is not possible to read out the code number, it can be entered manually.
Code the MSA control module as follows:
Engine with 1-spring nozzle holder and manual transmission

Engine with 1-spring nozzle holder and automatic transmission
