In the case of the MIG solder connections to structural components as described in the WIS, for strength reasons it is imperative to use the soldering material SG-CuAL8 (recommended wire diameter: 1.0 mm).
According to the Workshop Equipment Manual, the material SG-CuAL8 is supplied in 5 kg packs.
The soldering material SG-CuSi3 must be used in the case of joining methods on outer paneling parts which are then to be reworked using body solder.
The soldering material SG-CuAL8 cannot be used here as it would not bind properly with the body solder on account of the aluminum component in the soldering material.
