GF43.40-W-1003F | Brake pedal PMR deactivation switch, component description | 12.9.11 |
MODEL 970, 974 with CODE (BA2) Permanent magnet retarder
W43.40-1085-11
Location
S201 Brake pedal PMR deactivation switch
The brake pedal PMR deactivation switch (S201) is on the right in the instrument panel.
Task
The brake pedal PMR deactivation switch (S201) is used to switch on/off activation of the permanent magnet retarder by depressing the brake pedal or by actuating the engine control/permanent brake operating lever (S2) (e.g. deactivation when performing the service brake test or in maneuvering mode).
The all-wheel drive neutral/Allison neutral/parking brake/PMR brake pedal relay (relay holder A31) (K1-A25) is supplied with ground via the brake pedal PMR deactivation switch (S201). Pressing the brake pedal PMR deactivation switch (S201) interrupts ground of the switching voltage at the all-wheel drive neutral/Allison neutral/parking brake/PMR brake pedal relay (relay holder A31) (K1-A25) and, therefore, the electric circuit of
circuit 15.
