Change to radial shaft sealing ring

The radial shaft sealing ring (7) with race (7a) was introduced during the course of a modified sealing concept.

The steering knuckle (6) and front wheel hub (5) remain unchanged.

Only the modified version is supplied as a replacement part.

In the event of slight damage to the bearing surface for the radial shaft sealing ring on the steering knuckle (galling, corrosion) the steering knuckle (6) must not be used again.

The race made of stainless steel (7a) replaces the bearing surface of the steering knuckle (6).

When assembling the wheel hub (5) the race (7a) is pushed by the tapered roller bearing (9) onto the steering knuckle's bearing surface.

When dismantling the wheel hub (5) the race (7a) remains on the steering knuckle and it has to be detached separately.
