Drive vehicle to level surface

Vehicle must be in ready-to-drive condition (unladen, full fuel tank or with corresponding additional weight).

Move chassis to "drive position"

For vehicles with air suspension only.

The operating pressure must be min. 9 bar.

Align headlamp aimer to vehicle

To do so, adjust specified headlamp inclination on scale of headlamp aimer. The headlamp aimer operating instructions should be followed exactly.

Switch on low beam

Check headlamp range control for proper function

For vehicles with leaf spring suspension, both light beams of the headlamps must be evenly adjusted.

Set headlamp range adjustment to basic position (unladen) (A or 0)

Check setting of low beam and correct, if necessary, at the adjusting screws (1)

Depending on the vehicle equipment involved, the protective grille or the cover surrounding the headlamp may need to be removed before adjusting the low beam.

Switch on high beam and check the setting of the high beam (main headlamps)
