| The hose must not be cracked, spongy, swollen, or chafed. It must be free of paint, grease, and oil.

| Check lines and connections for leaks.
| The lines must not be squashed, chafed, or slightly rusted.

| Check master cylinder (2) for leaks (visual inspection)
| The dust boot must be seated firmly and must not be damaged.
