To ensure the accuracy of the Midtronics battery tester
(Micro 717 and EXP 717) throughout the period of use, the test equipment is classified as category B.
Internal tests have shown that this is necessary.
Daimler AG advises a testing interval of 2 years.
For battery testers that are older than 2 years, we advise that a brief inspection be conducted up to the end of 2011.
Newer devices should be sent in during the course of 2012 for calibration.

Please contact your local Midtronics Service Partner for calibration. These are filed in GOTIS at: "Suppliers"-"Midtronics"-"Documents".
If repair costs should also be incurred in addition to the calibration costs, the Midtronics company will make you an offer with the following points:
1) Repair costs including calibration certificate
2) Special price for a current EXP717, including spare parts certificate (calibration certificate)

For the duration of the calibration (within 5 workdays) a rental device can be provided following consultation by the Midtronics Service Partner.
Otherwise, for the duration of the calibration, it will not be possible to test the batteries using a Midtronics battery tester.
In this case, the following remark must be quoted in the warranty claim or the delivery inspection's handover protocol:
"Midtronics device calibration, see SI58.40-Z-0002A"
Note: The device test result is to be documented by the device's shipping document, the invoice and the test certificate in an audit case when required.
Advantages of new tester generation EXP 717:
Extended functions (e.g. automated series measurements), update capability, exchange capability of measurement cable and self-diagnosis.
This is why we advise changing to a new tester generation.
