R39/1 Vent line heater element
Location
The vent line heating element is located between the intake pipe and the engine ventilation hose, on the left below on the intake pipe.
Task
The vent line heater element prevents freezing of the crankcase ventilation system by condensate and plugging of the crankcase ventilation system by high-boiling oil components.
Design
The vent line heating element consists of a plastic housing with an integral heating resistor and a 2-pin plug connector.
Function
The vent line heating element is switched on and off by the CDI control unit (N3/9) depending on the outside temperature.
