| Cover plate for protecting rubber seal under the drip molding |
The rubber seal under the drip molding can be protected against traces of paint using a narrow cover plate made from light alloy (shop-made tool).
1 Loosen bottom screw of the drip molding in the area of the A-pillar or C-pillar and unscrew the two screws above it.
2 Pull off drip molding slightly and push the cover plate between body and rubber seal.
3 Slightly tighten bottom screw for mounting the cover plate.
After the drying process, remove the cover plate and secure the drip molding.
