Remove stowage compartment (1) from instrument panel

Only with code (F62) Heated rearview mirror or code (FS3) Passenger-side electrically adjustable mirror

Disconnect electrical connector (2)

Only with code (F62) Heated rearview mirror

Disconnect individual conductors for mirror mount (5) coming from wiring harness (3) in electrical connector (2)

Only with code (F62) Heated rearview mirror

 Previously note pin assignment.

Disconnect electrical connector (4)

Only with code (FS3) Passenger-side electrically adjustable mirror

Disconnect individual conductors for mirror mount (5) coming from wiring harness (3) in electrical connector (4)

 Note pin assignment before removing.

Guide wiring harness (3) out of A-pillar and right door

Only with code (F62) Heated rearview mirror or code (FS3) Passenger-side electrically adjustable mirror

 Before removing fasten pull-in aid to wiring harness (3) to facilitate pulling wiring harness (3) through body openings when installing.

Remove bolt (6)

 Mask door with adhesive tape in assembly area before removal.

Otherwise the paint can be damaged when unscrewing the bolt (6).

Remove bolts (7)

Lift mirror support (5) out of mount in direction of arrow

Remove outside mirror from mirror support (5)

Only when mirror support (5) is replaced.

Install in the reverse order



Checking

Check electric mirror adjustment for proper function

Check mirror heater for proper function
