Cover vehicle in rear area

 To prevent scratching the paint during assembly work.

Partially open soft top

 Leave soft top compartment lid open

Remove paneling from soft top at front

Protect headliner against soiling

Mark position of mounting bolts (2) on center drive (3)

Remove retainers (1) from linkage on center drive (3).

Unclip ball heads on linkage of center drive (3) from locking units

Remove center drive (3) from soft top frame

Screw bolts (5) onto hole (11)

 Turn hydraulic cylinder (8) with Allen wrench from vehicle tool kit until bolt (5) coincides with hole (11).

Remove retainer (4) form pin (5)

Pull bolts (5) out of center drive (3)

Remove retainer (6) form pin (7)

Pull bolts (7) out of center drive (3)

Remove hydraulic cylinder (8) with hydraulic lines (10) connected and lay down to side

Remove locking plate (9) from hydraulic lines (10)

Pull hydraulic lines (10) out of hydraulic cylinder (8)

 Collect hydraulic oil which flows out in a suitable vessel.

Remove old sealing rings (12) from hydraulic cylinder (8)

18

Slide new sealing rings (13) onto hydraulic lines (10)

 Coat new sealing rings (13) with hydraulic oil.



Install in the reverse order
