1 Install rear center section (1), left rear lamp unit (E3), right rear lamp unit (E4) and rubber seal and fit.
2 Check and adjust gaps.
3 Fix rear center section (1) in place.
4 Remove left and right rear lamp unit and rubber seal.
5 Drill Ø 6.7 mm rivet holes in rear center section (1) (areas I and J).

6 Remove rear center section (1)
7 Deburr rivet holes on both sides
8 Apply zinc dust paint to insides of riveted joints.

9 Apply 2-component adhesive in crosshatched areas.
Observe pretreatment of bonding surfaces.
Refer to the manufacturer's information for the curing and working times of 2-component adhesive.

10 Install rear center section (1), fit and fix in place.
11 Rivet rear center section (1) with Ø 6.414 Polygrip flat/round head rivet (areas K and L).

12 Position sheet metal lugs in connecting area of rear fender on rear center section (arrows).
13 Rear center section (areas M, N, O, P, Q and R).
14 Clean weld joints.
15 Remove drill shavings.
