1 Start with number stamp "Mercedes star" in stamping field (A1) on window plate (2) at bottom left
The tip of the Mercedes star must point upward in the script.
2 Then position letter stamp "W" with left edge on first increment on scale of window plate (2) in stamping field and (A1) and stamp in.
To stamp in the vehicle identification number, a helper is required to hold the stamping guide
3 Move forward with each subsequent letter punch one increment on the scale in the window plate (2) until the complete vehicle identification number (area A) and the final Mercedes star (A1) have been punched into the
firewall (7)
4 Remove stamping guide.
