1 Clamp differential housing (10) in a vise using clamping device (1, ).
2 Pull off both tapered roller bearings (2) .
Check tapered roller bearings, replace if necessary.

3 Hammer roll pin of differential pinion shaft out of the differential case.
Replace roll pin.
4 Drive differential pinion shaft (14) out of differential housing using drift (2).

5 Insert drift (3) into rear axle side gears.
6 Remove differential pinions with spherical washers from differential housing by twisting them.

7 Pull drift out of rear axle side gears.
8 Remove rear axle side gears with shims.
9 Clean all parts and check for reusability.
Parts which have overheated or seized must always be replaced.
