Testing unit

1 Check hose and control canister (1) for external damage.
On a deformed control unit (1) the turbocharger must be replaced.
2 Remove hose at control canister (1) connection (3).
3 Attach testing unit (2) (with coolant connection) to connection (3) and apply a maximum of 1 bar air pressure to control canister (1).
For a damaged diaphragm the air pressure escapes from testing unit (2) at control canister (1) between valve rod (arrow) and control canister (1) housing; replace turbocharger if necessary.
4 Remove testing unit (2) and attach hose again to control canister (1) connection (3).
