Correcting

Check basic position of camshafts

If the basic position of the camshafts is not correct because of being incorrectly installed, this can be corrected with the following measures.

AR05.20-D-6010D

A: If the basic position of the camshafts to each other is not correct

remove camshafts (1, 2), install

AR05.20-D-6992D

B: If the basic position of the camshafts to the crankshaft is not correct

detach camshaft sprocket (3) with timing chain fitted on at the exhaust camshaft (1) and rotate camshafts with an open-end wrench (basic position).

Replace torx bolts (4)

Pay attention to dowel pin (5).
