Model

129, 140, 163, 168, 170, 202, 210

Please note that, for model 163, the parts availability of the transmitter key no longer exists.

For models 129, 140, 168, 170, 202 and 210, limited availability is expected up to mid-2021.

A solution is being worked on urgently.

To ensure that the vehicle is in a ready-to-drive condition an emergency key with limited functionality is currently available.

This solution only concerns vehicles with a transmitter key with radio transmitter, not vehicles with a transmitter key with infrared-transmitter.

Central locking:

If the door is locked using the emergency key, then in each case only this door is locked, not the complete central locking system.

Procedure for locking complete vehicle:

1 Switch off ignition.

2 Remove transmitter key.

3 Open driver door (all other doors must be closed).

4 Remove emergency key from vehicle.

5 Operate inside switch for central locking (all doors and liftgate are locked, tank cap remains unlocked).

6 Lock driver door using emergency key.

For vehicles with code 551 (Anti-theft alarm system (ATA)):

When the emergency key is used, function impairments may occur in the anti-theft alarm system (ATA).

To this end, the function descriptions in the WIS: FG 80 for the anti-theft alarm system (ATA), and the information on the emergency key's mode of operation in the operator's manual must be observed.
