Sentence on procedure in service and repair case removed.
Due to recent events we would like to inform you about the following situation: On models 470/471 a reddish ATF steering gear oil is used for initial filling at the factory. When replenishing it can be used as per the MercedesBenz Specification 236.3 without any restrictions.
It can be mixed with ex-factory reddish ATF steering gear oil without any restrictions.
Any discoloration (depending on the given mixing ratio) of the ATF steering gear oil is fully safe and not relevant in functional terms.
