Please note that before replacing a defective component of the charge air system and the exhaust gas recirculation, the check "Charge air system: Measurement with recording" must be performed and returned with the part.
This concerns the following components:
Charge air pressure and temperature sensor in charge air pipe (B608)
Temperature sensor downstream of air filter (B611) (only with code M5Z (Engine version Euro VI))
Charge air temperature sensor in charge air housing (B617)
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) differential pressure sensor (B621)
Turbocharger
Exhaust gas recirculation line (Venturi pipe)
Boost pressure positioner (Y636)
The check is completely menu-assisted in the diagnostic system, under:
"MCM - engine management (A4)"
"Checks"
"Charge air system: Measurement with recording"
With regard to return shipment or scrapping of removed parts, please observe the information in your warranty system.
