	Task	The outside temperature sensor (1) senses the outside temperature so that the control unit can calculate the temperature difference between the desired interior temperature that is to be generated by the heater and the outside temperature.
	Function	The thermal resistance decreases exponentially with increasing temperature.
	Location	The outside temperature sensor (1) is mounted in the front end in front of the fresh air intake.
