Flame glow plug position

The flame glow plug (R3) is positioned at a separate point from the flame starting system solenoid valve (Y5) on the engine's charge air pipe (1).

Flame glow plug task

The flame glow plug (R3) at flame start ignites the fuel injected by the fuel nozzle, whereby the combustion air in the charge air pipe (1) is heated before entering the cylinder.
