The air relief element (1) is mounted at the turbocharger (3) in the area of entry of the turbine scroll.

Air relief element task

The air relief element (1) regulates the exhaust gas ground current in the turbine and guides it in case of requirement through the cross-sections in the rotary valve (4) into the exhaust air pipe.
