| Remove/install | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and remove transmitter key | ||
2 | Disconnect battery ground line | ||
In vehicles with a 12 V or 24 V on-board electrical system, all ground lines must be disconnected for safety reasons. | |||
3 | Remove floor selector |

4 | Unscrew relay holder | ||
5 | Unscrew nuts (7) | Nut, control unit to body | |
6 | Raise restraint systems control unit (N2/7) a little | ||
7 | Release and disconnect electrical connector at the restraint systems control unit (N27) | ||
8 | Remove restraint systems control unit (N2/7) | ||
9 | Install in the reverse order | ||

10 | Perform SCN coding of restraint systems control unit (N2/7) | When replacing the restraint systems control unit (N2/7). | |
11 | Perform initial startup of restraint systems control unit (N2/7) | When replacing the restraint systems control unit (N2/7). | |
12 | Check and erase vehicle fault memory using the diagnostic system | When replacing the restraint systems control unit (N2/7). | |
