No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Only pour battery acid into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Risk of injury. Injury may result when the tension in the spring in the automatic belt retractor is released.

Never disassemble automatic belt retractors.

Check seat belts and seat belt buckles before removal.



Fold rear seat down toward front.

Pry cover off rear seat belt guide bracket (1) in upward direction.

Remove screw from seat belt guide bracket (1).

 Unscrew bolt/nut from rear seat belt guide bracket

Remove cover from seat belt end fitting (2).

Remove screws from seat belt end fitting (2).

Remove seat belt end fitting (2).

Remove screw from seat belt retractor (3).

 Installation: Note the different versions of the inertia reel (left or right) and ensure correct seating in the catch.

 It is perfectly normal for the inertia reel to make a noise when rolling up the seat belt strap. In the case of complaints due to noise, replace the seat belt.

 Never use oil or grease to rectify any noises. The warranty will be rendered null and void if the inertia reel is opened.
