Remove remaining adhesive on front sliding door (5) with suitable tool.

When installing bracket (6).

Roughen bonding area on front sliding door (5) with fine sand paper.

When installing bracket (6).

Carefully clean bonding area with commercially available silicon cleaner.

When installing bracket (6).

The bonding area must be free of dust and grease.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Position template (2) flush to front edge of sliding door (5) (arrow A).

When installing bracket (6).

Apply adhesive to rear of new bracket (6).

When installing bracket (6).

Position bracket (6) at bottom edge of cutout on template (2) and press to sliding door (5) for at min. 2 min.

When installing bracket (6).

Move vehicle only after adhesive has dried. Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems can occur.

Repair paint damage with primer filler and touch-up paint pen.

If paint on bracket (6) is damaged by roughening the adhesive area.

Use only primer filler and touch-up paint pens approved by Daimler AG.

Install brackets (7) from rear edge of side window to corresponding position.

When installing brackets (7).

Carefully install brackets (7) on side window.
Otherwise the sliding door (5) or the side window can be damaged.

Observe dimensions (b, c, d, e).

Remove template (2).

If the bracket (6) has been installed.

Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
Otherwise adhesion problems of the bracket (6) can occur.
