Remove/install

 Danger !

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by vehicle manufacturer.

Lift vehicle on vehicle lift

Remove radiator grille

Removal: Detach radiator grille from reinforcement.

Pivot left and right air ducting (5) to side and unscrew bolt (6)

Detach left and right fender liner (7) in area of bumper (9) and lift out with assembly wedge

Remove bolts (10)

Disconnect electrical connector from PARKTRONIC front bumper (X26/27)

Disconnect electrical connector (11) from left front fog lamp (E5/1) and right front fog lamp (E5/2)

Remove front engine compartment paneling

Unscrew bolt (13) form left and right bracket (12)

Pivot left and right bracket (12) toward outside and press bumper (9) toward front and remove

Install in the reverse order

Check adjustment of left front fog lamp (E51) and right front fog lamp (E52), correct if necessary


