Danger! | Injury hazard! Windshield wiper mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases, even sever extremities. | Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism. | |
1 | Remove ignition key | ||
2 | Remove door liner on tailgate | ||
3 | Open cover (1) | ||
4 | Unscrew wiper arm mounting nut (2) | ||
5 | Swing wiper arm back and remove | Take care not to damage the washer nozzle | |
6 | Disconnect electrical connector | ||
7 | Pull washing water line off of connection fitting | ||
8 | Unscrew bolt for rear window wiper | ||
9 | Remove rear window wiper motor (M6/4) | ||
| Installation | ||
1 | Move wiper motor to park position | ||
2 | Position rear window wiper motor (M6/4) | Note: Replace rubber grommet on rear window, if necessary | |
3 | Screw in bolt for rear window wiper motor (3) (M6/4) | ||
4 | Reconnect washing water line to connection fitting | ||
5 | Reconnect electrical connector | ||
6 | Attach wiper arm | Take care not to damage washer nozzle | |
7 | Fasten wiper arm with nut (2) | ||
8 | Close cover (1) | ||
9 | Reinstall door liner on tailgate |
