Remove/install outer door handle guide on front door

Remove/Install

Open left or right front door

2

Press door rubber seal (2) to side until access cover below is accessible

 Installation: Ensure that door rubber seal (2) is positioned correctly.

Guide suitable screwdriver (3) into access cover and loosen inner bolt (4)



Lift door handle (5) and remove door handle guide (1)

 Installation: Ensure that seal (6) is positioned correctly.

5.1

Disconnect electrical connector (7) from left IR receiver (A26/1) or right IR receiver (A26/2)

Only on vehicles with code (880a) locking system with infrared remote control

6.1

Remove right IR receiver (A26/2) from door handle guide (1)

Only when replacing door handle guide (1) on passenger door on vehicles with code (880a) locking system with infrared remote control.

Remove front door lock cylinder

Only when replacing door handle guide (1) on driver's door
