Remove/install outside door handle on front door

Removing

Pull door frame seal out of channel in area of door lock

Loosen 4 mm Allen head bolt (6)

 Allen head bolt (6), accessible through insert bead at front of door, is secured against falling by the bracket (7)

First pull guide (2 or 17) toward rear and then toward outside

Pull handle (1) with base (4) toward rear out of bearing bracket (8) and remove

 Vehicles with IRCL function indicator, pull coupling (16) out of guide toward front and set down behind coupling connector (15)

Remove base (5)

 Bearing bracket (8) can be removed through assembly opening in inner door panel.



Install

Install base (5)

 Bearing bracket (8) installed

Move eccentric adjustment bolt (10) toward outside

 Facilitates door assembly

Install handle (1) with base (4) in bearing bracket (8) and simultaneously install in operating lever (12) on door lock

Insert guide (2 or 17)

 Vehicles with IRCL function indicator, insert coupling (16) into coupling holder (15) and ensure that it is seated correctly in relation to guide (17)

10

Screw in 4 mm Allen head bolt (6) and tighten



Adjust play between handle (1) and operating lever (12) with eccentric adjustment screw (10)

Access through opening (13) on front of door

Use Phillips screwdriver

Check play by pulling handle (1) until resistance can be felt

Install door frame seal
