Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Deactivate SBC brake system using STAR DIAGNOSIS.

Vehicles with Sensotronic Brake Control (SBC)

 The following steps should be run through in STAR DIAGNOSIS:

Select menu item "SBC Sensotronic Brake Control"/"Deactivate 'SBC' system".

Then process all the individual steps from top to bottom.

Remove wheel.



Remove/install wheels, rotate if necessary

Detach brake line (5) from brake hose (51)

 Seal brake line (5) immediately using stop plug. The brake fluid expansion reservoir must not run empty otherwise air gets into the system.



Notes on installing brake hoses

 When loosening and tightening the brake line (5) using an open end wrench, counterhold on two flats of the brake hose (51) in order to prevent the bracket (51a) twisting.



Unscrew brake hose (51) from floating brake caliper or fixed brake caliper



Select menu item "initial startup after repair"/"after opening or exchanging one or more brake hoses".

Then process all the individual steps from top to bottom.
