Determine the shims on the ring gear side with lesser thickness, e.g. for the value 11.08 mm: 5.46 mm on the ring gear side and 5.62 mm on the opposite side, so that gear backlash is achieved in each case. |
A 1 mm thick shim corresponds to approx. 1.4 mm gear backlash. Shims are available in thicknesses of 4.9 mm to 6.38 mm in graduations of 0.02 mm each. |
