| Install the extraction plate (3) on the pinion shaft (1) base, so that it supports the bearing from below
|

| Remove the bearing using a press
|
|
| Install the flange nut (2) on the pinion (1). The nut prevents the pinion from falling when removing the bearing.

| Heat the bearing to a temperature of approximately 80 °C
|
4
| Install the bearing (4) onto the pinion shaft (1)
|
|
| Observe the correct seating of the bearing.
|
|
| Work with a protective sleeve when inserting the hot bearing in the pinion shaft.
|
