| Install the dial indicator holder together with the dial indicator with a little pre-load.

| Set the dial indicator to "zero".

| Determine the axial play of the wheel hubs' bearings, moving the wheel hub forward and backward. .

| Remove the outer slotted nut with the lock plate, and adjust the wheel hub end play
|

| If the play value found is incorrect
|

| Tighten the inner slotted nut with the respective claw wrench to the specified tightening torque. .
|
|
| Strike the wheel hub with a rubber hammer during the tightening procedure of the inner slotted nut for seating the bearings.
|

| Loosen the inner slotted nut in the specified "A" angle.
|

| Install the dial indicator holder together with the dial indicator.
|
8
| Set the dial indicator to "zero".
|
9
| Determine the axial play of the wheel hubs' bearings, moving the wheel hub forward and backward.
|
10
| Install a new lock plate, and tighten the outer slotted nut to the specified tightening torque using the respective claw wrench. .

| Lock the lock plate by folding the tabs over the two slotted nuts, inner and outer.
