3 | Drive out outer joint (60l) | ||
4 | Pull rubber boots (60j or 60d) off front axle shaft (60) | Removal: The rubber boot (60d) can only be pulled off when the outer joint (60l) has been driven out. The inner joint (60b) cannot be removed. | |
Installation: To push on the rubber boots, place a suitable assembly sleeve on the splined shaft section of the front axle. | |||
5 | Check circlip (60a) and plastic protective ring (60m) and replace if necessary | ||
6 | Install in reverse order |
